DT Story: Embrace
Learning Studio . Design Thinking Intro . Session 2
This is one of the most well known stories from the Stanford d.school as it clearly shows how design thinking works and illuminates the potential impact of taking a human-centered approach to innovation.
I usually tell a version of this student-project turned impact-startup story when facilitating DT workshops as I find it’s still one of the best ways to introduce the fundamentals of design thinking.
Here, I tell the story in a more visual way and with a few extra behind-the-scenes details. And afterwords, I share a few DT tools & techniques that help during need-finding (using the story as a working example).
